Yesterday, we held a beautiful whole-school poowhiri to warmly welcome three new staff members to our kura.
Te Wai Heruata Rawiri joins us from HPC as a new Dean, supporting Whaea Sera as Kaitiaki Hauora and joining our Te Reo Maaori teaching team.
Venini Thaver is our new Year 12 Dean. An experienced English teacher from Tuakau College, she’ll also be teaching a range of subjects including ESOL.
Julian Austin is our new Business Manager, coming to us from a school in Papatoetoe. He will be taking over from Louise Andrews, who is retiring at the end of this term.
The poowhiri was a huge success, our students showed incredible respect, patience, and pride. The haka and waiata were powerful, and our guests were truly impressed. Ngaa mihi to everyone who helped make this such a special occasion.
