To all generous supporters of our Year 10 Trophy Voyage venture,
I am writing to express our deepest appreciation for the incredible generosity and support extended by all the wonderful individuals and organisations who contributed to making the Spirit of Adventure Trophy Voyage a reality. Your support has truly created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these young minds, and we are immensely grateful for your commitment to their growth and development.
The journey leading up to the Spirit of Adventure Trophy Voyage was filled with enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication from our students, parents, teachers, and the wider community. From the numerous car washes, sausage sizzles, bake sales, and the running of a number of raffles, every effort contributed to the success of our fundraising initiatives.
Your unwavering support, both in terms of active participation and generous donations including from local businesses and outside organisations, played a crucial role in making this trip a reality. We would like to extend our special thanks to the Nga Muka Development Trust for their substantial donation, which proved instrumental in ensuring that a significant number of our students could participate in this transformative experience.
The Spirit of Adventure Trophy Voyage was more than just a trip; it was a journey of self-discovery, team building, and personal growth. Students engaged in various team-building activities acquired basic ship-handling skills, and faced challenges that pushed their boundaries. The impact of this experience is beautifully reflected in the personal feedback we received from one of our students, some of which is shared on the following page. The insights into personal growth and newfound confidence speak volumes about the positive impact of your support on the lives of these young individuals.
Once again, thank you for your generosity, belief in our students, and commitment to their educational and personal development. Your contribution has made a lasting difference in the lives of these students, and we are truly grateful for the role you played in creating this unforgettable experience.
With heartfelt thanks,
Olivia Thomson, Natalie Croucher, Tama Hart, Jackson Ward, Tyler Lemberg, Jay Wickens, Jae Whitehead-Sa, Ella Drent, Axel Hobern, Harper Tuhimata
