I am sorry to have to inform you that the PPTA strike action is proceeding. The School Board and I have just received the notification copied below. Rolling stoppages will proceed, starting this Thursday with Year 11.
We do not yet have formal notification of a whole school strike planned in Waikato for 11 May. Of course, if a settlement is reached this will not happen, but we must be prepared for this battle to continue.
While this situation is distressing for all concerned, no one in education would take such action lightly. Meanwhile, our students should be encouraged to continue independently with their studies on those days that they are not in school.
The strike action will begin at 7:00 am on 4 May 2023 and will end at 11:59 pm on 8 June 2023. The action will take place on the following days over that period.

Wednesday 17 May – Year 10
Thursday 25 May – Year 11
Tuesday 30 May – Year 13
