English Learning Area Leader

We require an experience, passionate and innovative teacher and manager to lead our English Learning Area.  The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate how they can lead the Learning Area to ensure the success of every student.  Te Kauwhata is experiencing considerable housing development at the present time, and our school roll will be growing as a result, so flexibility and the ability to manage and implement change are vital.

Teachers Wanted

Te Kauwhata is currently seeing significant housing development and growth and, therefore, our roll is set to grow.  From the beginning of 2019 we require teachers in the following areas:

  • English - full-time, permanent, able to teach up to NCEA Level 3
  • Junior Homeroom - full-time, permanent, teaching Year 7 & 8 in composite classes, integrated English & Social Studies
  • PE & Dance - full-time, permanent, teaching up to NCEA level
  • Food Technology & Hospitality - full-time, permanent, teaching up to NCEA Level 3, possibility for leadership role
  • Mechanical Technology & Automotive - full-time or part-time, permament, teaching up to NCEA level, possibility for leadership role
  • Drama & Dance - six months full-time LTR to cover study leave, able to teach up to NCEA Level 3
  • Art & Photography - part-time, permanent, opportunity to increase hours if additional subjects can be taught

Relief Teachers Wanted

Experienced, NZ registered teachers wanted for relief work.

We are in need of more teachers we can call upon to carry out relief teaching in all subject areas. Relief teaching assignments may be from one or two hours, to a week or more.  You MUST  have current NZ registration, be legally entitled to work in NZ and have the ability to travel to Te Kauwhata to work at short notice.
