Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of Te Kauwhata College.  Five members are elected by parents for a three-year term of office.  The Board also has staff and student representatives.

Trustees represent a cross section of our community.  They work hard to provide a good learning environment and sound policies to enable staff to assist students in their learning.

Meetings are held monthly and are open to the public (apart from the In-Committee business). You are welcome to attend! The following agenda items are discussed during the meetings:

1. Welcome and Chairperson’s Remarks.

2. Apologies

3. Conflict of Interest Declaration.

4. Minutes of the Last Meeting.

5. Matters Arising.

6. General Business.

7. Sub-Committees – Finance, Policy and Property.

8. Principal’s Management Report.

9. Correspondence – Inwards and Outwards.

10. In-Committee.

11. Any Other Business.

12. Date of Next Board Meeting.

If you have a concern, a suggestion or any feedback (it doesn’t have to be a moan!) you can write a letter to the Board, care of the College, or send an email for their attention to the Board Secretary:
