Dear Parents & Caregivers
We are obliged to hold 3 Teacher Only Days this year to support the changes to NCEA. These Accord days need to be fitted within a certain timeframe allowed by the MOE (Ministry of Education). Our first one for this term was to be next Friday, but as we are aware of possible strike action for the 11th of May we would like to hold our TOD (Teacher only Day) on Friday 12th May rather than further disrupt another week. If we do get official notification of strike action, we will notify you immediately. Obviously, we hope that the negotiations are successful and there is no need for another Strike Day or any of the other actions being proposed by the Teacher Union.
As an advance notice, the second and third NCEA TODs days will be held on the 25th of August and the 24th of November.
