Morning exams start at 9.30am, afternoon exams start at 2.00pm

EXAM FEES

NCEA fees must be paid before mid-August.   If fees are not paid by then it is likely that a "late payment fee" will be imposed by NQZA.

All Year 11-13 students will be taking NCEA qualifications and are required to pay a fee that is set by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) as follows:

Your student’s exam (NZQA) fees need to be paid to the school by mid-August.  This was because we are required to pay examination fees to NZQA by early September.

Cheques should be made payable to Te Kauwhata College.  If you do not pay the College on time you will have to pay NZQA directly.  Late payments may incur a $50.00 fee which is charged by NZQA.

Students seeking financial assistance were required to complete a Financial Assistance Application Form and return it to the Student Centre.  An application form can be found below, or on the NZQA website at: www.nzqa.govt.nz/financialassistance

Please note, applications for Financial Assistance cannot be accepted after mid-August.

To qualify for financial assistance parents/caregivers must meet one of the following conditions:

• Be receiving a Work and Income or StudyLink benefit or have a Community Services Card,
• Have joint family income that qualifies for a Community Services Card, or,
• Have two or more children entered as candidates with fees more than $200.

If you qualify for financial assistance then the fees are $20 for one child or $30 per family of two or more children.
